On February 6, 2019, the "Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Festival 2019," organized by Newday Media, was shortlisted for the 10th Eventex Awards, a leading and prestigious global event industry award.
According to the list announced by the Eventex Awards organizing committee, Newday Media is the only candidate from the Asian region to reach the finals in the cultural event category with the event "Muong Lo Cultural and Tourism Festival and Exploration of Mu Cang Chai Terraced Rice Fields National Scenic Area 2019". This is an opportunity for Newday Media to continue introducing the cultural values and people of the Northwest ethnic groups in particular and the image of Vietnam in general to the whole world. The event was publicly voted on by the global public on the organizing committee's website over a period of two weeks.
The Eventex Awards 2020 received 444 applications from 39 countries worldwide. Among the 279 finalists were many big names such as: Google, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Microsoft, YouTube, Philips, Ferrari, BMW Group, Cisco, DHL, Twitter, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Michelin, Turkcell… This is the second time Newday Media has participated in this major international award.

According to the judging criteria, the local cultural elements, innovation, application of advanced technologies in the program, and the event's impact on the community are among the strengths that helped the "Muong Lo Cultural Festival" win the award from the global community. In the Final Round, participating units will undergo a rigorous evaluation by an independent judging panel of 70 entrepreneurs, experts, and influential journalists in the global event industry.
