“Welcoming the Dawn” – an art program celebrating the successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and commemorating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026), directed by the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, implemented by the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, and scripted and produced by Newday Media, is a special project not only in its political significance but also in its creative approach to organization and staging.

Rapid events
In the field of event organization, speed is always a major challenge, especially for politically charged programs that require high precision and meticulous attention to detail. This project became a significant milestone as it was Newday's fastest-executed event to date. The entire process, from receiving the contract, conceptualization, design, production, to operation, was completed in just seven days.
This short timeframe forced the team to operate at high intensity and with extremely clear thinking. Every decision needed to be right from the start, minimizing the need for revisions. This was also when practical experience and coordination between departments were clearly demonstrated, helping the entire system run smoothly within a timeline with virtually no gaps.
Unique stage location
One of the elements that gave the program its unique character came from the stage design, which was guided by local leaders. The stage was prominently placed opposite the statue of King Dinh Tien Hoang, as a way for the entire program to unfold in the meaningful presence of the king, connecting the present with the depth of the nation's history.
This arrangement creates a very special depth to the overall space. The stage is no longer simply a performance venue but becomes a point of intersection between the past and the present. The audience not only watches a show but also feels the flow of history and the pride in the historical land embedded in every moment of the performance.
Historical factors shape the flow of emotions.
For the first time, the moment President Ho Chi Minh read Vladimir Lenin's theses was brought onto the stage not just as a historical snapshot, but as the starting point of the entire program's emotional flow. The contrast was condensed into a single visual axis: on one side, the tranquil space where the young man discovers the truth; on the other, the powerful movement of the masses yearning for liberation.
It is this very contrast that unleashes a surge of emotion, leading the audience through major milestones of history, from the Hong Kong Conference of 1930 to the years of imprisonment and fierce struggle, where ideals are no longer mere awareness but become action, sacrifice, and unwavering determination.
Against this emotional backdrop, "Mother Loves You" is not just a transitional scene, but a poignant moment that touches the depths of human experience. The story of bidding farewell to a son going to war, waiting, and reuniting is staged according to the rhythm of time, allowing the audience to feel the war through its very ordinary losses.
From there, the program shifted to a triumphant tone with "Melodies of the Homeland," "Melodies of Pride," and songs about Ninh Binh such as "Ninh Binh, the Legendary Homeland," and "A New Day in Ninh Binh," depicting a peaceful, revitalized, and radiant country.
Concluding the journey, "Welcoming the Dawn" and "Happy Spring at Home" usher in a beautiful spring season with new beginnings and strong aspirations. The show ended with proud songs like "My House Has a Flag Hanging," and a medley of "Nam Quoc Son Ha, Noi Vong Tay Lon, Hao Khi Viet Nam," vividly portraying Vietnam stepping into the future with faith, spirit, and strong aspirations.
Transform LED grid lighting into a performance space.
The big highlight This is the first time it has been done in Vietnam. The technological aspect lies in using LED mesh as part of the stage space, rather than just for displaying images. LED mesh has a modular structure with high transparency, allowing light to pass through and create visual depth, thereby opening up the possibility of combining real space with digital imagery.
The Newday team took advantage of this characteristic to build a multi-layered stage, where actors and dancers could appear behind LED screens. When combined with a pre-programmed lighting system and synchronized visual content, the entire space became a unified whole, moving in sync with the script.
In the scene "The Party Flag," instead of using familiar props like iron bars or physical set designs, the prison effect is created by combining live acting with images on an LED screen. The lighting is controlled in layers of intensity, combined with the transparency of the LED screen to create a space that is both tangible and unreal, resulting in a powerful and distinctive visual effect.
Every moment needs to be calculated.
The program's conclusion was culminated in the spectacular release of two large flags: the Party flag and the national flag. This technique utilizes a system of retaining bars and a quick-release mechanism, allowing the fabric to unfurl vertically from above.
Given the large size of the two pieces of fabric, the falling speed couldn't be too fast; sufficient time was needed to create the necessary opening and coverage of space. This placed a very high demand on timing. The team had to precisely calculate the rhythm of the music, the emotional climax, and the actual falling time of the material to ensure that the flag-dropping moment perfectly coincided with the impressive ending of the program.
The synchronization between sound, lighting, stage movement, and mechanical structures creates an impressive ending, conveying a sense of solemnity and grandeur, accurately reflecting the purpose of the political commentary program, and leaving a lasting impression on the entire audience.
When time constraints become a catalyst for creativity.
Seven days isn't ideal for a large-scale project, but that very limitation created enough pressure to unleash the creativity of the entire team. Everything was streamlined in terms of process but elevated in terms of thinking quality. The chosen solutions were all geared towards achieving the highest efficiency in the shortest time.
From the iconic stage design and the use of LED mesh as a living space, to the precisely timed closing moment, everything contributed to creating a program that was both politically correct and distinctly creative.
This project is not simply a political event like any other, but also a testament to Newday's organizational capabilities, adaptability, and innovative thinking in the most challenging circumstances.
