7 days before the big moment – Newday's journey to create innovative political commentary events.

“Welcoming the Dawn” is an art program celebrating the successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and commemorating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026). The program was directed by the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, implemented by the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, and scripted and produced by Newday Media. The program took place on the evening of February 3, 2026, at Dinh Tien Hoang Emperor Square, was broadcast live, and attracted a large audience of delegates and viewers both in person and via television.

When time is the biggest challenge.

Seven days – such a short timeframe that there's almost no room for error. From the moment the assignment was received until the program officially began, Newday had only one week, with a packed workload and maximum pressure.

This is not simply an art show, but a large-scale political commentary program, organized in early 2026 amidst a series of significant political events. This places a clear demand on the program: it must be solemn and of high standard in content, but at the same time engaging enough to avoid feeling familiar or dry for the audience.

The tight schedule forced every step to be carried out simultaneously, from stage setup and cast assembly to testing lighting, sound, and visuals, all while the script was constantly being revised. The crew and actors didn't have many full rehearsals; instead, there were quick setups, quick adjustments, and decisions made on-site, along with nights working until 2 AM the night before to review every detail, ensuring a coherent narrative and a program with the depth befitting the political and cultural significance of the event.

In that context, Newday chose not to follow a rigid narrative style of enumeration or illustration. Instead, it opted for a more creative approach, leveraging the strengths of theatrical storytelling. The script is structured into three clear and coherent chapters, guiding the audience's emotions from the roots of revolutionary ideals, through the radiant beauty of the country today, and straight towards the future.

A journey told through images, music, and emotions, making political discourse accessible and relatable, where every moment on stage is imbued with meaning. And in this way, the Art Program celebrating the successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and commemorating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026) – themed “Welcoming the Dawn” – was successfully held in Ninh Binh province.

CHAPTER I: THE SUN OF TRUTH

The opening act transports the audience back to the historical years of our ancestors' defense of the nation through a stage setting rich in symbolism. It begins with a mashup of "The Homeland's Lullaby" and "The Phoenix's Wings" sung by Vo Ha Tram, awakening national memories and opening a solemn historical journey.

The story continues with the song. “"He is Ho Chi Minh"” Performed by Anh Tú, with the portrayal by Meritorious Artist Tuấn Lin, the performance recreates the moment when President Ho Chi Minh departed from Nhà Rồng Wharf to seek a path to national salvation, carrying with him the aspirations for independence of the entire nation.

The highlight of the program is the song "The Party Flag," accompanied by a scene depicting by Meritorious Artist Tuan Lin portraying the moment when President Ho Chi Minh read Lenin's Thesis, discovering the path to national liberation. Lighting, mapping, and choral performances blend together to emphasize the historical significance of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam. This unique historical scene is being brought to the stage for the first time, a creative innovation from the Newday Media team.

The song "Mother Loves Her Child," performed by Anh Tú with the PL Dance Troupe and the Vietnam National Academy of Public Security Choir, concluded Chapter I with an emotional climax, recalling the silent sacrifices of previous generations and touching the audience's deep feelings about loss, separation, and the value of peace today.

CHAPTER II: THE GLORIOUS LANDSCAPE

Inspired by revolutionary ideals, Chapter II of the program reveals a peaceful, diverse, and vibrant Vietnam. This chapter is characterized by its bright colors and rich cultural content, where the beauty of the Vietnamese people and landscapes is depicted through music, dance, and distinctive imagery.

The song "A Round Trip Around Vietnam," sung by Dương Hoàng Yến, guides the audience along the S-shaped strip of land, from North to South. Images of conical hats, ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress), and graceful dance formations evoke the softness and unity of the different regions. Following this is "Vietnamese Language," performed by Quách Mai Thy, honoring the national language as the soul of Vietnamese culture, combining fan dance and calligraphy to create an artistic space that is both traditional and modern.

Specifically for Ninh Binh, the song "Ninh Binh - A Legendary Homeland," sung by Meritorious Artist Huyen Dieu, offers an emotionally rich glimpse into this land of outstanding people and rich history, where the event took place. Chapter II concludes with a spirit of national pride, affirming a radiant Vietnam in peace, innovation, and development, through images of lotus flowers, folk melodies, and traditional art.

CHAPTER III: THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA

The final act brought the program's emotions to a climax, looking towards the country's future in a new era. The stage space lit up with the image of the sun, a symbol of faith, aspiration, and new beginnings.

The song "Welcoming the Dawn," performed by Pham Anh Duy, opens Chapter 3 with a youthful and energetic spirit. The image of the singer standing before the blazing red sun, combined with lighting effects and the movements of the dance troupe, creates the feeling that Vietnam is taking steady steps on the path of integration and development.

The emotional highlight of Chapter III is the song "My House Has a Flag Hanging On It" performed by Ha Anh Tuan. The image of the national flags appearing simultaneously on stage affirms the simple yet profound pride in every Vietnamese family.

The program concluded with a medley of "Nam Quoc Son Ha - Noi Vong Tay Lon - Hao Khi Viet Nam," where all the artists, choir, and dance troupe joined voices. It was a powerful declaration of a united, confident Vietnam, steadily building its future and ready to step into the dawn of a new era.
