Welcoming a new year promising many new opportunities and values for the Vietnamese women entrepreneurs community, VAWE kicked off its series of activities celebrating its 10th anniversary with a New Year's gathering, "Welcome 2024 – Year of Dragon," on the evening of January 12, 2024. The event was conceived and executed by Newday Media.
With the theme “SHARING VALUES FOR NEW SUCCESS”, The New Year's gathering is an opportunity for VAWE to connect and share with embassies, international organizations, government agencies, and associations that are key partners regarding their new year plans, paving the way for a series of meaningful activities for VAWE in 2024.
Proud to be the event organizer for VAWE's series of activities in 2024, Newday Media chose a main concept featuring a fan with images of dragons and folk patterns and motifs, symbolizing the beauty of traditional culture. The fan, unfolding its wings, symbolizes "new breezes," bringing good fortune for a prosperous new year. Like the tightly linked fan ribs, it represents the unity and strength of VAWE's female entrepreneurs, working together to reach further and expand like a fan, elegant and noble.
Over a decade of formation and development guided by the motto "Dedication - Intelligence - Trust," VAWE's membership network has expanded across Vietnam, encompassing 33 associations and organizations by the end of 2023. The leaders of the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Association are proud to be part of multi-sector economic groups such as: BRG Group, PISICO Corporation, Thai Hung Group, Hien Le Group, TH Group, Vietnam Traditional Craft Village Center, Deloitte Vietnam, VIOD Board Member Institute, PNJ, DOJI, MP Logistics, DOPHARCO… The Association is committed to sharing and spreading successful values to the community through strong activities and movements, thereby guiding and promoting women entrepreneurs on their career journeys and making positive contributions to society.
The New Year's Gathering Party also provided an opportunity for delegates to connect, share valuable plans for the new year, and seek and promote effective cooperation opportunities with VAWE for the development of the Vietnamese Women Entrepreneurs Community.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Minh Hang remarked: “The Vietnam Economic Scenario Forum 2024 assessed that the global economy in 2024 will continue to be a period of profound transformation, marked by turning points, uncertainty, risks, and caution, but also with bright spots, hopes, opportunities, and new growth drivers.”.
In this context, I believe that female entrepreneurs will leverage their talents and intelligence, actively share their knowledge to develop together, living up to the noble spirit, unwavering determination, and indomitable will of the descendants of the Trung Sisters in the face of difficulties and challenges, and contributing even more effectively to the development of the country.”

As we begin a new year of breakthroughs and success in 2024, VAWE female entrepreneurs will continue to dedicate themselves, inheriting and promoting traditional values with national identity in every activity, every product, and every milestone on their business journey, constantly affirming the value of Vietnamese brands in domestic and international markets, and together creating sustainable values for the community.
